Rowers from the Towpath: Open Studio2005
Colour, figure action and landscape are some of the elements featured in these twenty four images.  The changing back drop of freezing cold weather, muddy conditions and rain filled skies provides a dramatic setting for the individual colour of athletes by the river.

Experimenting with ink and watercolour on dampened paper allows for vibrant colours flowing into each other.  I try to capture the moment in which line, light, shade and colour combine in accidental fluency.
